Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.

Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"I bought a second Maxlite 5 International Carry-On Spinner after using my first one for a few years. I found this luggage meeting the size requirements on international airlines for carry-on luggage. So far, it is durable and the small wheels survived being dragged on cobblestones in Spain. "In general, it’ss very well made and practical carry-on. It swallows a surprising amount of items, which makes it very practical for my needs. There are a couple of issues, though, one minor and the other more important: — Minor issue: the zipper pull tabs don’t flip around easily when you try to open or close the bag. I have to jiggle them so that they fall into place. — Major issue: like many people, I carry a small technology backpack as my personal item. When I place this item on top of the bag, it causes the bag to tip over unless I’m constantly holding onto it. Part of the problem is that the top of the bag doesn’t provide a consistently flat surface, sloping away from the handle and pulling the bag down with it. It makes me wish I had purchased the regular carry-on instead, even with my flying local carriers around Asia with their more restrictive baggage size allowances. I wish that TravelPro could sonríe address this issue, as it seriously impacts my routine use of the bag."

"The bag construction is excellent, the components work well and it is a very light piece. The one drawback noted is that when fully loaded, the bag will fall over when standing on the four spinners. We bought two of this model and this occurred with both pieces. The spontaneous crashes happened repeatedly for us in many awkward situations, such as on crowded trains, buses and in the middle of busy train and airport terminals. A re-design of the bag's center of gravity and further testing should be undertaken. We nicknamed the bag the "roley-poley"."
