Do the listed dimensions include wheels and handles?

We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 50.2 x 33.7 x 21.6 cm (19.75 x 13.25 x 8.5 in.). The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 55.9 x 35.6 x 22.9 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.). When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.

Will this carry-on fit my airline's size limits?

This bag is sizer-bin tested against the carry-on sizers and overhead bins of mainline aircraft. Its overall dimensions sit within the commonly published 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.) standard. Canadian carriers publish their own limits, so compare the overall dimensions (55.9 x 35.6 x 22.9 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.)) against your airline:

Does expanding the bag change whether it fits airline sizers?

Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.

Is it water resistant?

Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy sidewalks and daily wear.

How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?

Start at our Customer Service Center, where you can register your bag, file a warranty claim, and request replacement parts. If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. How do I clean and care for it?

Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"★★☆☆☆ Good concept, but disappointing in actual use I purchased the VersaPack+ at a discount and really wanted to like it. I have previously owned a product from Travelpro’s Platinum line and had a very positive experience with its quality, so I had fairly high expectations for the VersaPack+. Unfortunately, after actually traveling with it, I have been disappointed. My biggest frustration is the telescoping handle. It gets stuck and does not consistently retract smoothly. For luggage at this price point, the handle should operate reliably without having to fight with it to get it back down. The weight is another drawback. For a carry-on, the bag itself is heavier than I would prefer before I have even packed anything into it. The organizational system also sounds considerably better on paper than I have found it to be in actual use. There are plenty of organizational features, but the organization and usable packing capacity leave a lot to be desired. More compartments do not necessarily mean better use of the available space. I also had to check the bag on one trip, and the Elemental Blue fabric came back noticeably stained. I understand that checked luggage is going to get dirty and handled roughly, but I have tried to clean the staining and have been unable to get it out. For a piece of luggage designed for frequent travel, I expected the exterior material to be somewhat easier to maintain. There are positives. The wheels are excellent, maneuverability is very good, and I still like the appearance and color of the bag. I also continue to have a favorable impression of Travelpro based on my previous experience with the Platinum line. This review is about the VersaPack+, not Travelpro as a whole. At the discounted price, I thought the VersaPack+ represented an opportunity to get the Travelpro quality I had previously experienced at a great value. After actually using it, however, the troublesome handle, weight, limited usable packing capacity, and difficulty cleaning the exterior make it hard for me to recommend this particular product. Two stars for the VersaPack+. I expected considerably more from it."

It is very nice bag. but a bit smaller, and holds less than I expected The handle mechanism takes more of the room inside than another bag I have of this size. perhaps the US version would have been enough bigger. As it is, it's tight for use, as it is just a bit small for him. We traded bags, and he used mine and I used this for the first time. rolls well."

My only negative comment is the straps do not work very well because they don’t allow you to cinch up the straps very easily. I had to shorten the strap and then do up the buckle as it was close to the bottom of the suitcase."
