The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 78.7 x 53.3 x 33.02 cm (31 x 21 x 13 in.). When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Linear dimensions are height + width + depth added together. This bag measures 157.5 cm (62 linear inches) by case dimensions and 165 cm (65 linear inches) including wheels and handles. The standard checked-bag limit on most airlines is 158 cm (62 linear inches). This bag runs over that number by the tape measure, so oversize fees may apply. Most airlines cap checked bags at 23 kg (50 lb). This bag weighs 3.6 kg (8 lb) empty, which leaves about 19.4 kg of packing before standard overweight fees. A luggage scale is a good companion for long trips.
Expansion adds packing depth, which also adds to the bag's linear inches and invites heavier packing. If you are near your airline's size or weight limit, measure and weigh the bag expanded, the way it will actually fly.

Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.
