Frequently Asked Questions
Do the listed dimensions include wheels and handles?
We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 50.8 x 38.1 x 19.6 cm (20 x 15 x 7.75 in.). The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 55.2 x 40 x 19.6 cm (21.75 x 15.75 x 7.75 in.). When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Will this carry-on fit my airline's size limits?
It is sized to meet the 55 x 40 x 23 cm (21.5 x 15.5 x 9 in.) carry-on limit of Air Canada, Porter, Flair and Air Transat. At 40 cm (15.75 in.) wide, it is wider than WestJet's 36 cm (14 in.) limit. Canadian carriers publish their own limits, so compare the overall dimensions (55.2 x 40 x 19.6 cm (21.75 x 15.75 x 7.75 in.)) against your airline:
| Airline | Published carry-on limit |
|---|---|
| Air Canada | 55 x 40 x 23 cm (21.5 x 15.5 x 9 in.) |
| WestJet | 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.) |
| Air Transat | 55 x 40 x 23 cm (21.5 x 15.5 x 9 in.) |
Regional jets have smaller bins, so expect to gate-check on those flights regardless of brand. And every bag is covered by our 30-day return policy.
Does expanding the bag change whether it fits airline sizers?
Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
Is it water resistant?
Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy sidewalks and daily wear.
How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?
Start at our Customer Service Center, where you can register your bag, file a warranty claim, and request replacement parts. If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Full coverage details are on the warranty information page, and common fixes you can do yourself are in our luggage repair guide.
How do I clean and care for it?
Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.
What warranty does this come with?
This product is covered by the Maxlite® 5 Warranty, plus our 30-day return policy. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Good quality light weight International size carry
"I'm very happy with my purchase. I ordered my bag on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday. Good quality bag. I was looking for a light weight bag for International travel, I needed something that would allow me to comply with the 8kg weight restriction for carry on. Looking forward to testing it on my upcoming trip to the Azores."

La plus grande des petites
"La plus grande des petites valises😁 Seulement 2 roues donc plus robuste."
Great small sitcase
"Great for our 7-12 day sojourns through Canada. Light and extremely sturdy. Just love it."
Colour
"My only comment, other than I love this suitcase, is the colour is not the same as my big suitcase and roll-under suitcase? They are all described as Maui Blue, but this smaller suitcase is a darker blue. I still love it, but I’m very match-matchy. I like it so I’m keeping it, just a note."
Excellent
"Excellent light weight carry on. Have 2 of them now. Fits in the airline carry on size tester. 2 wheels is the best style"
