Best for: Weekly road warriors who live out of the bin, and overpackers determined to carry on anyway.
We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 49.53 x 34.93 x 22.86 cm (19.5 x 13.75 x 9 in.). The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 55.88 x 35.56 x 22.86 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.). When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Its overall dimensions meet WestJet's carry-on size limit of 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.), wheels and handles included. Canadian carriers publish their own limits, so compare the overall dimensions (55.88 x 35.56 x 22.86 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.)) against your airline:
| Airline | Published carry-on limit |
|---|---|
| Air Canada | 55 x 40 x 23 cm (21.5 x 15.5 x 9 in.) |
| WestJet | 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.) |
| Air Transat | 55 x 40 x 23 cm (21.5 x 15.5 x 9 in.) |
Regional jets have smaller bins, so expect to gate-check on those flights regardless of brand. And every bag is covered by our 30-day return policy.
Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy sidewalks and daily wear.
Start at our Customer Service Center, where you can register your bag, file a warranty claim, and request replacement parts. If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Full coverage details are on the warranty information page, and common fixes you can do yourself are in our luggage repair guide.
Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"Arrived quickly and packed very well to prevent damage. Lightweight and easy to carry and roll. Quality material and well constructed. All in all very happy with the purchase."
"Weight of item received does not match product description. Website says 5.1 lbs but item received says 5.3 lbs. Customer service was not helpful to resolve matter."
"I love this carry-on. I have decided to retire my very old MaxLite Carry-on and get a new one. I love the style color, handle with low and high setting. It is light weight and perfect for my travel needs."
"Bought for 57th wedding anniversary trip to Hilton Head Island. At 77 & with limited mobilityI needed a suitcase that I could push & lift easily & that would hold all my clothes for the occasion. The Maxlite exceeded all expectations-light weight, easy to handle & held everything I needed! Will recommend to friends!"
"Meets domestic airline size limits! Lightweight, roomy, pockets inside/outside, smooth wheels, solid construction, cool color."
"Well designed, light and the zippers seem strong."
"First trip with this bag. Holds more than I wxpwcrwd, easily fits in the overhead on our flights. Well made, wheels make it move effortlessly. Very good value for the price."
"I’m half-way through my first trip and I love this suitcase! It is small, but holds plenty. The large pocket on front is perfect for a jacket or seat pillow. It rolls very smoothly. And it’s also attractive."
"I like the quality, but was disappointed in the color. I assumed it would match the bag I previously bought, and online the color looked the same. However, the blue is not as bright. I guess it's my fault for not going back and checking by old order to see what blue was called then. Also, I found it annoying to get an email offering me 10% off after I had already put the order in."
"Lightweight, rolls easily, and is convenient size for short trips."
