Two wheels better than 4 spinners.
"Travelpro is a very durable brand that still offers one style of checked luggage with in-line large wheels. These wheels are far superior than 4 spinner wheels. Think uneven cobblestones all over Europe, muddy, rocky pathways in Central America, lack of pathways in Africa. Spinners cannot navigate this terrain. My Travelpro is 15 years old, travelled many miles on all terrain, on two very tough wheels. The handle had held up as well. It has earned much praise and I am ready to replace it as all good things do wear out."

I already have the small
"I already have the small carryon rollaboard and love it. Wanted to get a checked bag size for longer trips. So far it's very lightweight. Have not had it long enough to say whether it's sturdy but if it performs as well as my carryon I will be very happy."

Perfect capacity and amazingly light
"Perfect capacity and amazingly light while still durable. One of the best roller bags still available - perfect for European coblestones!"

Overall, I like how lightweight
"Overall, I like how lightweight and sturdy this suitcase feels, and I really appreciate the flexibility of the soft-sided design. My two concerns are the practicality of the two-wheel design at this size and its performance in heavy rain. I specifically chose the two-wheel design to reduce the risk of wheel damage. After traveling with it, however, I found that two wheels are not as convenient on a suitcase this size. At airports, I often wanted to move it just a few inches while keeping it upright, but I had to tilt it every time. For a larger suitcase like this, four wheels might be more practical. I do really like the soft-sided design. It makes it easy to add or remove items without fully opening the suitcase. My biggest concern was the rain. After heavy rain at my connecting airport, the suitcase arrived very wet, and a few items inside were soaked. I had no liquids packed that could have leaked, so I suspect rainwater may have seeped in. Interestingly, most of the contents stayed completely dry."

This purchase was made to
"This purchase was made to replace an existing, heavy suitcase. We really appreciate that this size bag comes as a rollerboard style suitcase. It is necessary for our travel to European countries with cobblestone streets, because the large wheels really hold up trying to navigate the uneven surfaces. There is ample room for everything and the extra extension room will come in handy for bringing home gifts! The bag is lightweight, at just over 7 pounds it is half the weight of the luggage we replaced. With the airline strict restrictions on weight for all bags, it saves us money to use lightweight, yet sturdy Travelpro luggage. This is the second piece we have purchased in this style and size capacity. Our older one has made 4 international trips and still looks like new. Travelpro really holds up and is well constructed. We also have the rollerboard carry-on size suitcase. It is also perfect because of how lightweight it is and how easy it is to fit in the overhead compartment section of the aircraft. I appreciate this color option of the Travelpro bag. With so many bags on an international flight, it is far easier to spot our luggage from a distance because of the color."

I've enjoyed this medium size
"I've enjoyed this medium size Travelpro suitcase for about 4 years. My husband decided that this size was something he wanted for our next trip. It works great for longer excursions while leaving plenty of room for any extras you might purchase while exploring the world! It's very light and I highly recommend it."

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BRING MORE
"PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BRING MORE 2 WHEEL LUGGAGE BACK! I am taking a month long trip and feel this bag is certainly big enough, and light enough and was the only 2 wheel option you have. However, I'm already guessing the top handle will be torn off by the airline. Travelpro and SwissGear used to have a study frame, and the handles were mounted with more than about a 3 inch section f the handles grommeted to the frame. I've already had 2 handles torn off with the last two pieces of luggage after only 2 trips. As a precaution, I took this to a shop and they added an extra grommet to keep the handle on securely. I'll keep you posted after trip. But when you are pulling luggage over cobbled streets, the 2 wheel is the best option as they are more recessed."

So glad we switched back
"So glad we switched back to a soft sided bag and chose this one. It’s exactly what i wanted: big roller wheels, none of this spinner stuff, soft thick walls. It’s just simple, and we stuffed it so full it was just about 50lbs. Perfect for a checked bag on a 10 day trip with my husband and toddler!"

I flat wore out my
"I flat wore out my last model just like this one on airlines & trains. Some auto travel as well. I started a replacement search and my research, along with my long experience with TravelPro, just reinforced my knowledge that this medium size, soft sided, two-wheel bag is the best value proposition and most reliable bag for me. It's awesome by all measures of size & performance."
