Will this fit under an airline seat?

It is designed to: it measures 26 x 41.9 x 19.1 cm (10.25 x 16.5 x 7.5 in.). That is larger than the published personal-item limits of Air Canada and Porter (43 x 33 x 16 cm) and WestJet (41 x 33 x 15 cm), so check your airline's rules before you fly. Underseat clearance varies by aircraft and seat position, so bulkhead rows and smaller regional aircraft may require the overhead bin instead.

What are the exact dimensions?

It measures 26 x 41.9 x 19.1 cm (10.25 x 16.5 x 7.5 in.). It weighs 0.9 kg (2 lb) and holds 22 litres.

Does this count as my carry-on or my personal item?

It is designed for the personal-item role (the bag that goes under the seat), which can let you bring a full-size carry-on too. It is larger than the published personal-item limits of Air Canada and Porter (43 x 33 x 16 cm) and WestJet (41 x 33 x 15 cm), so check your carrier. Our guides for Air Canada and WestJet list published limits for the Canadian carriers.

Will it fit my laptop?

Yes, the padded sleeve fits laptops up to 14 inches. That covers 13 and 14 inch models such as the MacBook Air 13, MacBook Pro 14, Dell XPS 13 and 14, and ThinkPad X1 Carbon. 15 and 16 inch laptops will not fit the sleeve. Screen size is the guide; a slim sleeve or case on the laptop usually still fits.

Is it water resistant?

Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy sidewalks and daily wear.

How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?

Start at our Customer Service Center, where you can register your bag, file a warranty claim, and request replacement parts. If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Full coverage details are on the warranty information page, and common fixes you can do yourself are in our luggage repair guide.

How do I clean and care for it?

Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

What warranty does this come with?

This product is covered by the Platinum® Elite Built for a Lifetime Limited Warranty, plus our 30-day return policy. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.

Compact and useful

"The one drawback to this bag is that the strap connections are on an angle. I love the bag, looks great, easy access to my laptop and/or books without having to open the full bag. It is compact though and can get heavy depending on what you pack in it. Having your laptop or books on one side makes it kind of lean over and unbalance which can be bothersome. I hate the diagonal connecting cross body/shoulder strap. Makes for an awkward carry sometimes but not a deal breaker. Surprisingly, the option to unsnap the sides for a bit of additional room is quite helpful and a great feature."

Really sturdy

"I really love this tote! Very roomy and sturdy!!"

A Quality Travel Bag

"Very well made with fine materials. All the zipper and shoulder strap hardware is heavy brushed metal, nicely detailed. Plenty of individual storage pockets - the exterior water bottle storage was the clincher for us. Happy to report my 17" (diagonal length) laptop fits nicely in the padded internal sleeve, which has it's own strap to hold laptop in place. Better made than our London Fog suitcase !"

Exactly What I Wanted

"This bag is exactly what I had been wanting for years. I had tried totes and small duffles but none were really working for me. This bag stand up on its own for easy packing, fits under seat without turning sideways, my tablet is easily accessible with the side zipper, narrow enough to fit down the airplane aisle, big enough to be able to pack what I need, has the strap to hook to my bigger suitcase, water bottle outside pocket. Really well thought out. Don’t hesitate to buy!"

— Tracy R. (5/5)

Balance is Off for Roller

"I bought this with the platinum elite roller bag. I think this bag contributed to the bag falling forward. It seems as though the dimensions are not aligned for the bag."

— REGINA B. (3/5)

Very Nice

"Just the right size. Comes with several nice touches including a handy little pocket for a water bottle and quick access zipper for your laptop."

— stuart n. (5/5)

— Marcy J. (5/5)
