Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
Yes. External USB-A and USB-C ports connect to a hidden battery sleeve inside the expansion gusset, so your power bank stays with you in the cabin, as airline rules require. Bring your own power bank (not included), drop it in the sleeve, and charge without opening the bag. Port output specs: USB-A 5V / 2A (10W); USB-C 9V / 3A (27W).
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Start at our Customer Service Center, where you can register your bag, file a warranty claim, and request replacement parts. If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let the bag air dry completely before storing. Surface scuffs on hardside shells are cosmetic and do not affect performance; store the bag in its provided fabric cover when not in use. The full-grain leather trim needs no special treatment; wipe it with a dry cloth. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"This is a top tier hardside carry-on. It glides on the dual wheels effortlessly. Leather handles and zipper pulls are elegant and sturdy. The outer shell seems more durable than my previous Platinum Elite hardside spinner. The interior has premium fabrics, metal clips, and a wide variety of included packing cubes. Overall, this is an excellent bag, just be aware it is a bit heavier than other carry-on bags if you are traveling on an airline that weighs your carry-on."
"I received this as part of the product evaluation program. While I have not used hard side luggage in a long time, I really liked the Platinum Reserve. It seemed lighter than other hard side luggage but at the same time feels stronger and well built. The organization within is great. One side is slightly deeper than the other so it is easy to keep clean and dirty clothes separated on a multi-stop trip. The packing cubes and pockets make it easy to stay organized. The wheels run very smooth and handle operates smoothly as well. If you over stuff the bag, the handle can develop some resistance opening and closing. The zippers are well made and operate smoothly. The internal straps are a little different than the ones on the other carry one I have. At first I felts they were a little more difficult to adjust but they hold stuff in place much better due to the way the straps form triangles rather than just going straight across which may or may not catch you stuff depending on how you pack. The luggage seems very durable. I have only used it on two trips so far but it seems like it will stand up to travel abuse and last a long time. I do not use charging ports in luggage but I like the way they implemented it so that if you do not use it, it does not consume any space. I rated the warranty a five but in reality, I have never had to use it. I only did a return once and that was because I regretted ding a to wheel carryon instead of a spinner. Travel Pro offered a hassle free exchange. I have about 9 pieces of Travel Pro luggage and they all have been durable and outperform other brands."
"I received this bag right before an unplanned trip to Paris, so the timing was perfect to try it out. The first thing I noticed when unboxing it was simply that it's a beautiful case. It looks rugged, and the handles on the top and side are of a soft leather-like material that feels soft and luxurious to the touch. The zipper pulls are large and easy to grasp and unzip to show the case's tan liner which also looks and feels premium. The case was something different for me, as I've always used soft side cases at this size. It requires a different packing style, but my clothes arrived neat and securely fastened beneath the straps inside. I really liked the organization aids that came with it, but I did not use them on this trip (I will on my next in a few weeks). My biggest concern for the case was going to be weight, but this case is light and easy to manage, and the multi-position telescoping handle makes it easy to find a good height. The wheels deserve their own mention, as they are easily the best I've encountered for their smooth rolling action and the magnetic parts that snap them back into alignment. Finally, the case fit easily into the overhead compartments of both the small regional connector jet and the jumbo jet that flew into and out of Paris, so no concerns there. With a few more trips planned over the next 3 months or so, I'm looking forward to putting this case through its paces. So far, I'm very impressed."
