Frequently Asked Questions
What's included in this set?
Platinum® Elite Carry-On / Medium Check-In Hardside Set includes each piece named in the title as a separate bag. See the Dimensions section below for the size and weight of each piece.
Which piece can I carry on the plane?
The carry-on in this set meets WestJet's carry-on size limit of 56 x 36 x 23 cm (22 x 14 x 9 in.), wheels and handles included, while larger pieces travel as checked bags. If you are matching the carry-on against a specific airline, check the airline's published limit; our guides for Air Canada and WestJet cover the Canadian carriers, and our airline guides also cover major U.S. carriers such as American, Delta and United.
Does expanding the bag change whether it fits airline sizers?
Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
How do I set the TSA lock combination?
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Write the code down somewhere safe. Step-by-step instructions, including what to do if you forget the combination, are on our lock assistance page and in our customer FAQ.
How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?
Start at our Customer Service Center, where you can register your bag, file a warranty claim, and request replacement parts. If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Full coverage details are on the warranty information page, and common fixes you can do yourself are in our luggage repair guide.
How do I clean and care for it?
Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let the bag air dry completely before storing. Surface scuffs on hardside shells are cosmetic and do not affect performance; store the bag in its provided fabric cover when not in use. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.
What warranty does this come with?
This product is covered by the Platinum® Elite Built for a Lifetime Limited Warranty, plus our 30-day return policy. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.
