The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 82.5 x 53.3 x 33.6 cm (32.5 x 21 x 13.25 in.). When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Linear dimensions are height + width + depth added together. This bag measures 159.4 cm (62.75 linear inches) by case dimensions and 169.4 cm (66.75 linear inches) including wheels and handles. The standard checked-bag limit on most airlines is 158 cm (62 linear inches). This bag runs over that number by the tape measure. In practice it is accepted as a standard checked bag on most airlines, but a carrier that measures strictly may charge an oversize fee, so check your airline if you are close to the limit. Most airlines cap checked bags at 23 kg (50 lb). This bag weighs 5.2 kg (11.5 lb) empty, which leaves about 17.8 kg of packing before standard overweight fees. A luggage scale is a good companion for long trips.

Yes. The zippered expansion adds about 5.1 cm (2 in.) of packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

I never thought anything would beat my old hard case standing roller that I had for 12 years, but I'm very happy with this one. It's got a lot of functional removable features like a built in removable toilettries case. The built in locks are great and I like the colour patterns. The luggage glides extremely smooth and is incredibly light for its size. Empty, it feels about the same weight as a carry on. I chose it because the company is said to have been founded by flight crew and invented the quad rolling form, and it did not dissapoint. I did get mine on sale from an outlet and initialy had pertty insignifcant zipper issue which Travelpro corrected right away, amaizng customer service.
