Yes. The zippered expansion adds extra packing depth, and a fully expanded bag may not fit a strict airline sizer. If your airline enforces its sizer, board with the bag unexpanded and save the expansion for the trip home or checked segments.

Combine mild soap and water, apply with a soft cloth, gently rub until clean, rinse well, and let the bag air dry completely before storing.
