Frequently Asked Questions
What are the exact dimensions?
It measures 31.8 x 48.3 x 22.9 cm (12.5 x 19 x 9 in.). It weighs 1.1 kg (2.5 lb) and holds 49 litres.
Can I bring this on the plane in addition to a carry-on?
At 31.8 x 48.3 x 22.9 cm, it is larger than the published personal-item limits of Air Canada and Porter (43 x 33 x 16 cm) and WestJet (41 x 33 x 15 cm), so those airlines may count it as your carry-on rather than your personal item. Check your airline's personal-item rules before you fly. Our guides for Air Canada and WestJet list published limits for the Canadian carriers.
How much does it hold?
The listed capacity is 49 litres at 1.1 kg (2.5 lb) empty.
Will it fit my laptop?
Yes, the padded sleeve fits laptops up to 16 inches. That covers virtually every mainstream laptop: the 16-inch MacBook Pro, MacBook Air 13 and 15, Dell XPS up to the XPS 16, Microsoft Surface Laptop, and 14 to 16 inch ThinkPad models, plus anything smaller. Screen size is the guide; a slim sleeve or case on the laptop usually still fits.
Is it water resistant?
Yes. The exterior fabric has a DuraGuard® coating that resists water and stains, so it holds up to rainy sidewalks and daily wear.
How do I make a warranty claim or get repairs?
Start at our Customer Service Center, where you can register your bag, file a warranty claim, and request replacement parts. If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Full coverage details are on the warranty information page, and common fixes you can do yourself are in our luggage repair guide.
How do I clean and care for it?
Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.
What warranty does this come with?
This product is covered by the Platinum® Elite Built for a Lifetime Limited Warranty, plus our 30-day return policy. The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship.
