Best for: The big trip on the calendar, and packers who bring options.
We publish both numbers. The case dimensions (the packing body only) are 74.9 x 52.2 x 32.3 cm (29.5 x 20.5 x 12.75 in.). The overall dimensions, which include wheels and carry handles, are 82.5 x 53.3 x 33.6 cm (32.5 x 21 x 13.25 in.). When airlines publish size limits they mean the overall size, so compare the overall number to your airline's limit.
Linear dimensions are height + width + depth added together. This bag measures 159.4 cm (62.75 linear inches) by case dimensions and 169.4 cm (66.75 linear inches) including wheels and handles. The standard checked-bag limit on most airlines is 158 cm (62 linear inches). This bag runs over that number by the tape measure, so oversize fees may apply. More detail in our luggage size and weight guide.
Most airlines cap checked bags at 23 kg (50 lb). This bag weighs 5.2 kg (11.5 lb) empty, which leaves about 17.8 kg of packing before standard overweight fees. A luggage scale is a good companion for long trips.
It has a built-in fold-out suiter designed to carry suits, dresses, or jackets flat, plus adjustable hold-down straps to keep the main compartment from shifting in transit.
Yes. The zippered expansion adds about 5.1 cm (2 in.) of packing depth, which also adds to the bag's linear dimensions and invites heavier packing. If you are near your airline's size or weight limit, measure and weigh the bag expanded, the way it will actually fly.
The lock ships set to 0-0-0. To set your own code: turn the dials to 0-0-0, remove the zipper pullers from the lock, press the reset button on the side of the lock with a pen until it clicks, choose your combination, then press or slide the release button. Write the code down somewhere safe. Step-by-step instructions, including what to do if you forget the combination, are on our lock assistance page and in our customer FAQ.
Start at our Customer Service Center, where you can register your bag, file a warranty claim, and request replacement parts. If the issue is covered, Travelpro provides replacement parts or, when a bag cannot be repaired under an active warranty, a replacement bag. Full coverage details are on the warranty information page, and common fixes you can do yourself are in our luggage repair guide.
Use a 50/50 mixture of alcohol and water, apply with a soft cloth, and gently rub the affected area until the spot lifts. Let the bag air dry completely before storing. A little lemon juice in the mixture freshens the fabric. More care tips are in our customer FAQ.

"This large checked bag has good room for fitting clothes, shoes, and other items. The quality of the build and design seem to be good, so far. I think the color was why it was on sale, but the color with accents seems just fine to me."
"Love my luggage that I purchased. I did receive a bad lock on one piece which did get resolved after 22 emails. The customer service for a bad lock and speeding 1,700 on my luggage was ridiculous in my way of thinking. You all need fix this for better customer service for something that small and even larger. 1,700 is a lot of money!!!! Steve Klima"
"This luggage case epitomizes luxury, combines with functionality, design, size and durability, as well as portability. When I pulled the case out of the shipping box, I instantly noticed how lightweight it was. But lightweight doesn't mean fragile. Far from it. The construction and materials used feel solid and comfortable. The straps are ideally located for ease of lifting/moving, and the wheels literally glide over my floor. They barely noticed the area rugs in the house, and it was so easy to push along. Admittedly the style is nothing to write home about as it's just a cube, but the soft but rugged materials on the outside says it won't ever tear. Inside tells another story as well. the pockets, suit folding lid, the locking zippers.. just wow! This is the luggage I wanted and needed on my last three trips to Europe. Lightweight, strong, large enough for my stuff, and easily lifted and moved through the airports, buses, trains and hotels."
"I did extensive review before deciding to purchase my luggage from Travelpro. I was tired of my luggage not surviving the international travel. I wanted a dependable set of luggage that was reasonably priced. Travelpro remained on the top on my list as I reviewed the options. It was clear when I received the set that I made the right choice. I have not used them yet but have full confidence that they will exceed my expectations."
